Soundwalks are a guided way of experiencing nature, with a focus on attentive listening.
Sound walks are a guided way of experiencing nature, with a focus on attentive listening.
During the walk, we use simple microphones and headphones that amplify the sounds of nature in real time. Through this technology, both the sounds of the environment and our own movements become clearer and more present. With the help of simple listening exercises and hands-on methods, we explore the soundscape of the landscape together.
In active listening, details emerge that would otherwise easily go unnoticed.
My approach combines nature experience with methods from field recording and acoustic ecology, while introducing practices for deep listening. The aim is to open up a more focused and exploratory way of experiencing nature.
Many participants find that active listening creates a strong sense of presence, an experience that can feel similar to mindfulness or forest bathing.

I am a photographer with a background in sound production, interactive sound design, and field recording. I live near Söderåsen and spend a great deal of time in the national park, where I am also a certified guide. My interest in outdoor life, active listening, and mindful presence led to the idea of guided sound walks.
